With a degree in Graphic Design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), I’ve always had an interest in different mediums. I bought my first film camera in college and loved my black and white photography class. Over the years after developing a career in design and advertising, photography slowly became a desire to capture my own image needs rather than purchasing stock images. I bought my first serious digital camera in 2005 with the Canon 20D and haven’t stopped loving what can be accomplished to capture images. I now use a Canon 7D and continually add equipment as there are always greater tools out there to “play” with and see what can be created.
For most of my life, I have been a graphic designer but I love to work in other areas ranging from graphic design to photography to fine art. I currently lead a design and video team at a client site in Washington, DC and contribute as a photographer at times for the team but mostly it’s my personal time and passion to be a photographer along with a number of other personal activities.
At home my range of hobbies never quit—I also teach motorcycle safety in Maryland and have three Vizsla hunting dogs—Piros, Caiya and Benny, to which competing at fields trials are another joy for me. Trying to capture the field dogs are always challenge in photographing but it's beautiful to experience. My dogs along with my husband and family are my other loves in life. I hope you’ll enjoy the images on my page and look forward to what’s to come that I can capture in a single moment.
